Registration and buyer badge

Online registration step by step, the invitation letter and collecting your badge in Guangzhou.

Updated 3 October 2026

In short

Entry is reserved for professionals. You register online as a buyer on the fair's official portal, where you apply for your badge and, if needed, an invitation letter. You then collect the badge in person in Guangzhou, with your passport.

Registration step by step

  1. Create a buyer account on the official buyer service system, or in the fair's app.
  2. Enter your company and personal details, with your name exactly as it appears on your passport.
  3. Upload an ID photo and apply for your badge.
  4. Request an invitation letter if you need a visa.
  5. Keep the confirmation on your phone: it speeds up badge collection.
  6. Collect your badge on site, at the points listed by the organiser, with your passport.

The invitation letter

You only need it if you need a visa. Request it together with your badge, on the official portal. The organiser has recently restricted issuing them, particularly to new buyers; a letter from a Chinese partner company can then be used for your visa application instead. Everything is in our visa guide.

Common mistakes

  • Waiting until the last few weeks and getting stuck on a late invitation letter.
  • Entering a name that differs from your passport: collecting the badge becomes complicated.
  • Arriving on the morning of the first day without a badge and spending hours in queues.

Information checked on 3 October 2026. Procedures are set by the organiser and can change from one session to the next: the official buyer portal remains the reference.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Canton Fair badge free?
Conditions vary depending on whether you pre-register, and from one session to the next. Check them on the official portal when you register.
When should I register?
As soon as pre-registration opens: in 2026 it opened in mid-February for the spring session. The earlier you register, the more margin you have for an invitation letter and visa if you need them.
Can I register on site?
It is possible but not recommended: queues can be long on the first day, and you lose the most valuable time of your visit.
